Our partner organises for our guests a tour to watch proboscis monkeys and fireflies. The tour includes: minibus transportation to a jetty on the river (about 1.5-2 hours trip), boat trip along the river to find and watch monkeys, dinner and refreshments, minibus transfer to another place, second boat trip to see fireflies, return back to the resort. RM190 for adults and RM143 for kids (GST not inclusive). If you have your own car and drive there yourself then it costs RM50 only for adult (children price will be announced later). We went there ourselves to check and yes, we saw monkeys! 🙂 See come pictures below
Lesser Frigatebirds over the Sea
Many people already mentioned in their reviews that they like to see Egrets walking in the resort, Eagles and Frigatebirds gliding in the sky, wake up in the morning with amazing birds singing. Recently we had guests from Denmark who are enthusiasts of birds watching. They spotted and identified 25 species of birds in our place, made a list and kindly shared it with us. Thank you!

Recently we enjoyed a visit of PhD student Yoong Soon Yong from University Malaysia Sabah. He was diving in our nearby reefs to collect samples of sponges and soft corals for a very interesting metabolomics study of marine invertebrates chemical compound (UMS Metabolomics Research Team). This work might have promising applications in new pharmacological substances including those for cancer treatment.

Our potential guests often ask how far is Resort from Tip of Borneo. It is about 30km drive from us, some of our guests even go there by bicycles. Below is a map of attractions by TripAdvisor
One of the big islands named Balambangan has many karst caves. One of them we visited on several occasions and already brought some of our guests there. It is really, really stunning cave! Photos below can not express your feelings and impression….but, anyway, give you just a small hint of what you may anticipate
We started boat trips to numerous beautiful islands, which make huge archipelago in front of us. We go there for diving, snorkelling, fishing and even caves visiting. Here we start publishing some photos and videos about these tours.
Molleangan kecil – beautiful uninhabited island, quite good for diving and snorkelling and perfect place for the lunch between dives. White sand, clear water, very rich and diverse corals near the shore, drop off down to sandy bottom at 13-16m with lovely coral patches. Very nice and relaxing drift dive!
